Happy 7th Birthday to Atticus!

Atticus celebrated his big birthday last week, and he has been counting down for a long time.  He got up every morning, and would ask Alexa how many more days until February 18th.  For awhile Andy had it say February 18th had been cancelled.  He then changed it to a million days, and on his birthday, she sang him "Happy Birthday."

He was lucky enough to have his birthday off because of parent teacher conferences.  I was off as well  because of snow, so we were excited to celebrate the day.  We had chocolate croissants and cotton candy milk for breakfast, and then we went to the J to run off some energy.  Lunch was Freddy's, and then it was time for his party with friends.  He has been so excited to have his friends over to celebrate his day.  We set up the jump house in the basement, along with Beyblades and Hot Wheels tracks.  They played pop a shot, fusbol, and of course the ninja course.  We did not have to entertain them at all.  They came up for cake, and then it was piñata time. It was a great group of boys, and honestly so much quieter than the girl parties we have.

After the boys all left, we had his family party with Grandma, Brawners, and us.  We had Mexican, and another cookie cake.  We were all worn out by the time the day ended.

Atticus at 7 is always on the go.  He has always been on the go, but it continues even more so.  I don't know how many people comment on the fact that he is always running.  In fact, in every game he plays in, he is the first one to run down the court or field.  It's not about the game he is playing, it is about how fast he can get down the field with a big smile on his face.  I think track is in his future.

He has such a mischievous smile, and of course his eyes.  It doesn't faze Andy and I, but his teacher says she has a hard time getting upset with him, although we get plenty of emails about his talking, and not listening;)  He is one social little guy, and has lots of friends at school.  She said she can't seem to find a spot in the class where he doesn't talk.

He seems to always have an obsession.  It has been Little Blue Truck, Thomas the Train, Jackson Storm, Hot Wheels, and now Beyblades, Bakugon, and fancy cars.  Always makes me sad when a stage ends, but fun to see what will come next.

We love you buddy, and can't wait for the adventures that await you in your 7th year.
